Cold numbers in angular light / Chafed rust and croaking pipes / Grinds a heaped mirage clocked by circuits -

A night shift starts, but the ache sets in / When the woes of yesteryear / Could be drowned in petrol dregs...

Away from stifling dusk and shadowed relics, / The bloodstone vesicles and their abrasive pupates / Marking the requiem for our oily pedagogues, / Ionized and stuttering / Beneath marquees / Once statuesque in the / Velocity of false zodiacs / Calcifying our hangar sky.

Little stray, / Leave this covenant -

Find the source, forget the static / Abandon of our ennui,

Crack the vault and race to exhale.

Light enters the city (top) while the world awaits (bottom).
